How To Seat Guests At Your Wedding
Seating your guests for a wedding can either be an organized, well-planned process, or it can be complete and utter chaos. Large weddings require a bit more organization and structure so your guests are not left wondering. It also reduces delays from the ceremony to the reception, and it helps your caterers when it comes to serving meals.

Seat By Family
Seat your guests by putting family members together. You can have tables reserved for the bride and groom's parents together, or you can separate them if they have multiple children that want to sit with them.
Seating Children
The flower girl and ring bearer may be the only kids at your wedding. If this is the case you can seat them with their parents. However, if you know there will be multiple children attending your wedding, it may be best to have a designated table for kids.
Seat By Couples
+1's at weddings are going to want to sit together during the reception. Make sure your friends and family are seated with their significant other. If there are guests that came alone, try to arrange it so some are sitting with other couples or with other single guests. Don't sit all your single guests at the same table as this may lead to some feeling segregated.
Stay Organized
Keep an excel spreadsheet of your guests that notes relationships between one another. You can then group guests and even post these groupings to a large board in the reception hall that shows where each guest should be seated.
