Folding VS Fold In Half Tables
If you're in the market for a plastic folding table then you've probably done your research and have found that these tables come in a variety of shapes, sizes, strengths. But what about how the table folds? There is more than one way a plastic folding table can fold (depending on the table). Based on the use and the application of the table, you can use this guide to determine which folding table will work best for you.
STANDARD FOLDING:
- A standard plastic folding table provides unbelievable strength without cutting into your wallet.
- The legs fold up and lock in to place with a locking mechanism found underneath the table.
- The table top itself does NOT fold.
- Standard folding tables can hold more weight since there is not a crevice in the middle.
- Table weights range from 30 lbs - 100 lbs, and may require more than one person to transport individually.
- Designed for commercial use, but work well for home and office as well.
FOLD IN HALF:
- Lighter than standard folding tables.
- A seam down the middle of the table allows it to fold in half.
- Table legs fold in and lock into place.
- The weight capacity is typically less than that of a standard folding table due to the seam.
- Most fold in half tables have handles for easy transportation.
- Outer locking mechanism prevents table from opening while being transported.
- Recommended for residential use.
